Alex, you do identify some key features and conventions and use some media terminology appropriately. You need to consider the features in much more detail. Firstly, you need to establish who the target market is and what kind of impression of the school they are trying to promote. You then need to consider how the features are targeting the audience and how they are promoting the ethos of the school. What impression of the school does the image promote and how? Why have those particular colours been used - what connotations do they have and how do they appeal to the target audience? Try and avoid just stating that the colours help things to stand out. Consider the strap lines and what kind of impression you get of the school from the information that is inside the magazine. Why that particular puff? Who does it appeal to and why? The typography/font needs to be considered more carefully - again, what impression of the school does the font promote?
